Abstract

This research study focuses mainly on a very important aspect of accounting profession called “Auditing in Nigeria Companies, together with its problems and way out (prospects). The project is done in partial fulfillment of the requirement for the award of National Diploma in the department of Accountancy. It is also designed in such a way as to help readers understand the problems in Auditing Nigeria Companies and its prospects. Chapter one was designed to give an overview of the research work. It also dealt with the background of the study, research questions, significance of the study, scope, together with its limitations. Definition of some related terms to the study were equally included in this chapter. Chapter two was a review of previous work of other people on related literature and studies. Chapter three, the research design and its methodology. Chapter four, talks about the Data presentation and Analysis, together with its interpretation of result. Chapter five, the summary of the findings, recommendation, conclusion and appendix of the project were expatiated.
