ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study, Automated Stock Control System for Small Scale Industries a Case Study of Mainland Supermarket is design to improve upon the current stock control system. Effective management and control of a large stock of items requires enormous human resources which are prone to error and fraud. Due to shortcoming in the use of human resource in Automated Stock Control System; it has become necessary to implement the stock control system by Automation through the use of the personal computers.

This research work therefore goes to investigate stock control system in Mainland Supermarket with the aims of designing and developing an automated system of this application. This effect will generate output to keep track of the state of stock control and also aid management in their decision making process. The system has the capacity for the modification and expansion, it also expanded to accommodate both the sales and purchase items and their price will also accommodate inventories of the organization. The users should be careful when using the different modules of the program. The current system is designed that goes with Microsoft Access 2003 because of it sophisticated ability and capacity.
